Our Christian faith anchors its hope in the kingdom of God, which is a future reality: One day, the kingdom of God will be established in this world (Rev. 11:15), and there will be no more sorrow, sickness, temptation, sin, and death (Rev. 21:4). There will be eternal joy for all, and we will experience the presence, power, and life of God in all its fullness. The good news is that today, we can have a taste of the powers of the age to come because the kingdom has already penetrated this present evil age. The blessings are already here, albeit not in its fullness. The Demands of the Kingdom
The demands of the kingdom can be very costly. When wealth, position, influence, or ambition fights for your loyalty, you must make a decision to ensure every interest in life becomes secondary or subservient to the rule of God. If you choose personal ambition, pleasure and self-advancement over God’s kingdom, soon, your love for the Lord and the things of God will wither away.
